Serving at Bethany

Everyone has a place

Members are called to become a part of the church and in doing so a part of the body of Christ. There are many parts to the body and God encourages us to see where we fit in the body and how we can use our gifts to serve Him. I Corinthians 12:27 makes it clear that we are all part of the body of Christ, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” Each one of us makes up the body but no single body part makes a body.

Serving in the church not only meets the needs of the recipient, but those of the servant as well. In serving, our goal is to love and glorify the Lord and not for any boastful purpose. If you have a desire to serve others, but don’t know where to start, see Pastor Mike, Kathy Tucker or Pastor Mark for available opportunities.

Meals for Members

Volunteers Needed

Bethany has a rich history of helping members in need with meals. This was established to help members at the birth of a new child or after hospitalization, etc. The deaconesses are in the process of re-establishing this program. Volunteers can make or purchase meals. This support will be given as needed.

If you would like to know more or be a part of this ministry, see Perri Kern.

Souled Out Teens - grades 7- 12

Wednesdays at 7pm

Bethany desires to help students through the challenges of life and offer encouragement, love, and biblical wisdom. We desire to show teenagers that they are cared for and loved, and that God has a great plan for them. We are always on the look for adults who can show that kind of love by looking past the immediate struggles of growing up and point students to the great things that God can do in them. If this sounds like what is inside your heart in regards to teenagers, see Pastor Mike Milller on how you can be involved.

This ministry needs multiple drivers to be a blessing to the community and those serving. This weekly service to church and home can grow with your help. If you can make a commitment to drive for this ministry please contact the office. No commercial license needed.

    Prayer Partners

    Sundays at 11 a.m.

Each Sunday during the Morning Worship Service, 2-3 Bethany members gather together in the Conference Room to pray for the service. Pastor Mark meets with these ‘Prayer Partners’ before the service to pray and goes over the morning’s message, They pray for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of all those in need of a Savior, for God to clear the minds of those attending, and to minimize distractions. They also pray that the music ministry, sound, video, and other parts of the service will all glorify God, heal those who are ill and for the impact of the Kidz Konnection meeting in lower level.

Currently three Prayer Partners of the same gender are scheduled to pray together approximately every 9 weeks. If more prayer warriors join this ministry, the frequency of each prayer partner missing the service to pray would decrease. If you would like to join the Prayer Partner team or have questions, please contact Rod Hamilton or the church office.+
