Jews for Jesus Recap
Thank you to Eryn Black, who was our special guest representative from Jews for Jesus, on Palm Sunday. Eryn demonstrated and enlightened us on the Passover Seder Meal. The Seder meal happens during the week of Passover, which is a time when the Jews people celebrate their ancestors Exodus from Egypt. The meal itself is a retelling of the Exodus as if they themselves were freed slaves. Each item of the Seder has a special meaning from God to his people.
Eryn and his wife serve as missionaries with Jews for Jesus in Manhattan, New York, where 1 in 8 people are of Jewish descent. ‘Jews for Jesus’ mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus to the Jewish Community that are still waiting for the Messiah to come. As a thank you to Eryn, a love offering was taken at the end of the service in support of this ministry.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child 2019
The Mission Team is pleased to announce that we will be collecting items and packing Christmas Shoeboxes to send to children around the world again this November. In partnership with Samaritans Purse, our goal is to reach boys and girls for Jesus globally. Each month we will post an emphasis on the items we wish to collect.
May the goal is to start with Hygiene items such as soap, wash cloths, toothbrushes, wide tooth combs/picks, detangling hairbrushes, and bandaids. Containers will be placed in the lobby for donations. If you have already begun to collect other items, do not hesitate to bring those in as well. Thank You for your commitment to reaching children with the love of Christ.
